Gus Malzahn has been a hot name in the coaching circles after he helped Auburn win the national championship last year. Now he’s moving on to his first head coaching job.

Arkansas State hired Malzahn to be their new head coach, replacing John Freeze who’s the new boss at Ole Miss.

Malzahn was raised in Fort Smith, Arkansas, and he coached at Springdale high for five years.  He started his college coaching career as offensive coordinator at Arkansas.
