MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Auburn backup defensive back D’Antoine Hood has transferred to Alabama State.
   
Hood will be eligible to play immediately for the Football Championship Subdivision team. An Alabama State spokeswoman confirmed the transfer on Wednesday.
   
Hood saw action in 22 games the past two seasons for the Tigers, mostly on special teams. He started one game and recorded 22 tackles.
   
He is the cousin of former Auburn and current NFL defensive back Roderick Hood.
