Blog: Auburn vs. Vanderbilt Notes
Auburn looses Vanderbilt 17-13.
What we know:
•Is Gene Chizik’s job in trouble? Large masses of the Auburn fan base are calling for changes.
•Will Auburn move towards the future and increase the role of Jonathan Wallace at quarterback? For the first time Saturday they let him throw a pass, but so far Wallace has only been used to run the wildcat.
•Phillip Lutzenkirchen’s playing days at Auburn has come to a sad end. Lutzenkirchen had a phenomenal career, and it is a big loss to this team. Lutzenkirchen had been battling a hip injury.
•Up next for Auburn is a home game with Texas A&M.
Vanderbilt gave Auburn chance after chance, but the Tiger offense was never able to really take advantage.
Holding a team to 17 points isn’t bad, but in back to back weeks after taking the lead the Tiger defense has allowed a quick drive and score going into the half.
