Oklahoma City, Okla.—Former Tiger Lyndsey Jordan finished third in the Collegiate Reining Championship Saturday in Oklahoma City. The competition showcased collegiate equestrian’s top athletes, with riders coming from IHSA and NCAA Varsity Equestrian programs.
Jordan, who won the championship in 2009, said she was happy with her performance.
“I drew a very tough horse and was happy with third place,“ she said. “Even though I didn’t win, it was a successful ride.“
Jordan competed on “Okie Dun It In Town,“ scoring a 71 and a 73 for a total of 144.
“It was fun to compete for Auburn one last time, especially knowing I did my very best,“ Jordan said.
Jordan was selected to represent Auburn in the championship for four consecutive years, based on her exceptional performance in NCAA Varsity Equestrian competition and NRHA winnings and show records.
“Once again we are very proud of Lyndsey and her representation of Auburn,“ said head coach Greg Williams. “She did a great job with the horse she drew, it was a great effort on her part and almost good enough to win the event for a second time.“
